Tomato mutter Briyani

Ingredients:

5-6 Tomatoes (grind in mixie to make puree)
1 ½ Cup Basmati Rice
1 Cup Green peas
2 Cloves1 Cardamom
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
½ cup Coconut milk
1 teaspoon Kus Kus

To grind
Small Ginger
4 - 5 Garlic pieces
3 chilly
Some Coriander leaves

Chilly powder as needed
Sambhar powder
Salt as needed
Cilantro to garnish
Process:

Wash and soak the Basmati rice.
Grind small piece of ginger, garlic, green chilly and coriander leaves and keep aside.
In a large pressure cooker add oil and heat. When heated add fennel seed, cardamom, cloves, ground paste, sauté. Add the tomatoes and the green peas, saute for a few minutes. Add Sambhar powder, salt, chilly powder. Drain the water from the rice and add the wet rice to this. Mix everything and sauté for a few minutes. Add water (1.5 cups water for every 1 cup of rice) and let it cook. Give it a whistle and then turn off the stove. Finally Garnish with chopped cilantroSprinkle some ghee and serve hot.

Dear All

I am a Biotechnologist by profession but I have just got my attention turned towards cooking. I have always fantasized by the way my mom cooks.
I just started clubbing many varieties of south Indian style...awesome so many are they and each has its own speciality . I have decided to post some good South Indian varieties. I try lot of different cooking methods and I have become favorite cook to all my cousins and in-laws.

I just love Andra dishes for there spiciness. Mouth watering ones...
