Eral Thokku (Dry) Prawn Gravey
Era Thokku is a very tasty dish , easy to cook (Prawn cooks very fast, don't overcook, it may make the Prawns loose taste and become harder
Cleaning Prawns is one big task but the outcome is a delightful dish which the whole family would enjoy, while cleaning look at the center of the prawns you may find a Black thin thread like intestine which you can pull out and clean all of them
Now goes the recipe:
Prawns - 250 gm
chilly powder - 1 spoon
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Ginger and Garlic Paste - 1 spoon
Salt - to taste
Oil - to fry
Fry Prawns after marinating them with above ingredients. Keep them aside
For Garvey:
Tomato - 1
Onion - 2
Chilly Powder - 1/2 spoon
Prawn masala powder (You can also use, fish masala powder) - 1/2 spoon
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 spoon
ginger garlic paste - 1/2 spoon
Salt
Oil
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Process
1. Keep Oil, once heated add Curry leaves , Ginger garlic paste and then Add Onion turns golden brown then add tomato saute till its cooked
2. Now add Chilly Powder, Garam masala, Fish Masala Powder and saute well
3. Once cooked, add prawns and cook for not more than 2-3 min
4. Switch off the stove , garnish with cliantro
5. Serve with steamed rice
